Introducing Ryan T.

Before I go into my little story about Ryan T.  please check out this great portrait shot of Ryan (of Empire Models, NYC)

So Empire hooks me up with Ryan. The guy is an amazing model to photograph. Watch for great things from this guy, if he decides to pursue it all the way.

Great at taking direction and as some of the previous models featured on here, really knows how to work the camera.  One more photo before continuing here....

Ryan shot some fashion work, but also did some artistic work as in the wallpaper promo photo below.  (click photo for giant enlargement).  Look for him in my upcoming "Temptations" book project.  Date TBA.

Philip Fusco for MASCU

It seems like Phil's been everywhere lately (magazine covers, spreads, underwear lines, etc.)  Well he deserves the attention. He's one of the most unique and photogenic male models I've worked with in a while.  It's only fitting I have him as the opener for my new MASCU blog.

INTERVIEW WITH PHIL FUSCO FOR MASCU:

You've done a lot of fitness work lately, how does doing fitness compare with doing more edgy/fashion?

I love doing fitness and I also love edgy fashion...with fashion I feel a little more classy in front of the camera as I wear a little more than a single piece of underwear. Plus the nice clothes are definitely a plus.

How did you get started in modeling? What was the driving force?

I started modeling because of a company that picked me up when i was 17 years old. This was all a result of my hard work in the gym since I've been 14 years old. My driving force is definitely the fact that I use to be a skinny small kid and I wasn't really satisfied with that look, I felt like i needed to upgrade myself.

Where do you see yourself in this industry in 3 to 5 years?

Hopefully in some sort of Hollywood acting profession, maybe on billboards, definitely don't want to picture myself as a bum who is doing nothing with himself.

What was your MASCU photo shoot experience like, working with Michael Downs?

Michael Downs is great. He knows how to get the job done but also at the same time incorporate some fun into the job.  

Travis Wolfe

I few years back I discovered a young Travis Wolfe in Florida.  He had the perfect fashion look and wasn't quite what I needed for the more fitness oriented projects I was involved with at the time. I turned him over to an associate of mine in the fashion industry and the rest is history.  Here are fashion test shots from Travis' first photo shoot.

Albert for MASCU

Here are images from Albert.  He is the lead model for the HIMistry skincare line campaign.  I plan on working more with Albert down the road. He's quite photogenic and plays well to the camera.
